Pack2Go Europe is the leading material neutral European association representing the major food & beverage service & convenience packaging manufacturers who provide innovative single-use packaging solutions for consumption out-of-home and on-the-go. These include cups and numerous pre-formed containers and enclosures, clamshells, carrier bags, napkins and cutlery. Since 2012, Pack2Go Europe’s priorities are to actively promote integration of its products into the circular economy in Europe by more and better collection and recycling and litter prevention; to promote the Pack2Go Europe Quality Guarantee; to explain the role and value of single-use service packaging, notably for food hygiene, consumer safety and public health.

Job offer

We are offering the opportunity to a motivated young person to join our team as an intern. This is a 3-6 month paid position. Starting day: as soon as possible.

Required competences and skills

Our ideal candidate will be well-organised and energetic, bright and professional, dynamic but thoughtful, quick but thorough, ideally with a background of studies in environmental management and an international perspective.

The successful candidate will have good knowledge/experience of:

  • National and/or European environmental law and policy
  • Waste/waste management policy and practice
  • Applied policy analysis
  • Packaging / food business
  • Perfect English and fluency in other European languages
  • Proven writing skills
  • Computer literacy

Job description

To support the development of a long-term strategy for integrating food & beverage convenience packaging into the circular economy, Pack2Go Europe is launching a pan-European research project. The aim is to better identify and understand the law, policy and practical programmes/systems in place (or proposed) in European countries (national, regional, local, as appropriate) that address our packaging. With this knowledge in hand, the industry will be better placed to prioritise use of resources to promote a better circular future for its products and avoid discriminatory measures.


  • Desk research and direct contacts with public/private sector actors in European countries
  • Analysis and profiling
  • Data collection and archiving
  • Writing of summaries/explanations in English
  • Coordination with other team members under supervision of the Secretary General.
